Thank you for visiting Southern Mass Events. We are a small, family-owned business aiming to offer budget-friendly tent and event rentals. For those new to event planning, here is some helpful information.
Select a date for your event.
Get an idea of how many guests are coming. We can adjust slightly if the count changes later. Consider getting a bigger tent upfront as we might not be able to switch sizes during peak season.
Consider the location you envision for the tent installation. Is there a big enough area to fit the tent? Is the ground flat enough to put stakes on all sides?
When considering the setup for your event, it's essential to survey your yard for potential underground hazards such as sprinkler lines, electrical lines, septic tanks, and gas lines. While these may not be deal-breakers, it is crucial information to have before driving stakes into the ground. Additionally, take into account the height of tents and check for branches or power-lines overhead.
If unsure about any of these aspects, feel free to take pictures and share them with us for further guidance.
Depending on the square footage of the tent you plan to reserve, a permit may be required. Check with your City or Town Hall at least a couple weeks before your planned event for more information. Any permit required is the responsibility of the customer.
You can visit WWW.DIGSAFE.COM before having any temporary structure utilizing ground stakes installed. It is a free service that will mark any underground utilities that may be on your property. You will want to do this at least a couple weeks prior to the event date if you are renting a tent. We are not responsible for damages beyond our control such as underground utilities, sprinklers.
